Uncommon Details

  • Interviews for Deadliest Man Alive were conducted during cab rides, while in bed moments before falling asleep, during recovery from COVID vaccines, as my apartment began flooding, and other circumstances not conducive to productive exchanges.

  • Researched and wrote cultural analysis about Mötley Crüe’s place in rock music between the 1980s and today for lead singer Vince Neil’s autobiography. The short of it is everyone has heard of them even if they’ve never heard their music (including my parents).

  • Convinced a severely hungover Jack Black to follow through on a scheduled interview, even though Black was ready to go back to sleep at 1:30 P.M.
